This Grade 1 church is mainly Perpendicular. It was heavily restored by
Butterfield in the 1870s. Its chief treasure is the remarkable statue to the
carpenter Thomas Spackman by John Devall Jun in 1786. It also has a good
brass of the 14th century and a Jacobean pulpit of 1629. Sir Nikolaus
Pevsner is buried in the churchyard.

The Grade 1 church is Early English with a west tower over the crossing.
It was much restored by Ponting in 1879. It has a hammerbeam roof, an
Elizabethan monument to a Wroughton and a 1645 monument to the
royalist Colonel Granville.

This Grade 1 church is noted for its late 13th century Decorated work,
described by Betjeman as “an architectural gem”. There is a late 13th
century coffin lid with carved figures and a Baskerville monument.

The Grade 1 church is well-grouped with the Tudor manor. The font with
writhing serpents and the south doorway are Norman. The tower is
Perpendicular. The painted rood loft is a rare survival from the 15th century.

Situated at the east end of the High Street, the church is Grade 1. A Norman
doorway and the tall 16th century tower survive from the fire of 1653 when
the church was rebuilt. The south arcade has Tuscan columns. The chancel
was rebuilt by Street in 1873-4. The east window is by Wailes.
